Our Texas Locale page recently got very busy on the unusual topic of Ouija boards and such. Archy suggested a Lone Star Thread That Will Not Die. Like those darn Hobbit threads with 30,000+ posts.
This is not my thread and I'm not going to baby sit it every day. I just gathered the kindling and y'all have to start the fire.

That haze hanging over the state from the Mexican agricultural fires makes for poor landscape photography conditions, but just before sunset the sun turns bloodred, or, like tonight, hot pink.

Hmm... I guess "All my Exes Live in Texas" wouldn't be appropriate, then?

"To prove that this Ouija crap is Bravo Sierra?"
The Ouija board was invented immediately after WWI. It was supposed to provide a channel to communicate with your loved ones that had "gone beyond" in that conflict. The name comes from the conjunction of the French and German words for yes (oui and ja).
Since I am mad at both those countries I ain't having anything to do with a product that conjoins their words for "yes." I am in a "no" mood as regards both of those countries.

:-) I know the song. I was just kind of surprised that you did. I didn't take you for a CM fan.
Personally, I think we ought to play one by another upstanding patriotic celeb. It starts out like this....
There's a place not too far away from here
Out with the cows and the Lone Star Beer
Where the livin' and lovin' are quite all right with me...

Anyone have any stories or pictures of the lights in Marfa Texas? No, but I saw the bird-man in San Antonio in 1975.
