Word For The Day, Monday
5/5/03
Posted on 05/05/2003 12:03:04 AM PDT by Bella_Bru
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Ok, it has been brought to my attention that some things were said somewhere else and were attributed to me and my feelings for WFTD. Originally, I was not going to be harsh, in fact I was going to apologize. Upon futher consideration though, I have decided I have nothing to apologize for. Let's take this step by step, shall we?
1. First off, I do not dislike WFTD nor do I dislike any of you. I rather do like you all quite a bit.
2. Second, I think my own thoughts, I have my own feelings. The person who I am with is NOT MY FREAKING SPOKESPERSON. Therefore, DO NOT ASSUME ANYONE ELSE'S WORDS ARE MINE. Believe it or not, even though I am female I do not rely on a male to provide my thoughts and feelings for me. People that do that are weak.
3. If you have any more ASSUMPTIONS or questions, you can FReepmail me, instead of having a FReepmail whisper-a-thon with each other, okie dokie?
Onto our WFTD.

Way to go, Tiny Dancer. You'll be lucky if anybody bothers to submit anything to you for a grade. Look at just today: You drop a t*rd in the classroom punchbowl, then you blow everybody off for the rest of the dayHey, genius, I work nights, that is why I am often not here during the day. Not that I owe YOU an explanation.

Riiiiigghhtt....because of my working situation, I should not post the thread. More an important than any bogus grade was for people to look at what everyone else was doing. The traditional "American model of education" of handing in something and getting grade is useless. Learning from each other helps a lot more. Have you ever watched small children? They teach each other better, often being able to exaplin things to each other that their teacher could not.
