I did it without much trouble without asking anyone. I used google and did a little reading and experimenting. I set up two win95 machines and one win98.

Go into networks and enable file and printer sharing. It is not very hard.

Just go into your network settings and make sure both computers are assigned to the same workgroup, then start windows explorer, right click on the folder you want to share and select sharing from the popup menu. You will see a radio button that lets you share the folder.

Next go to the other PC and use windows explorer to browse through network neighborhood, workgroup, to the computer and you should see the shared folder.

Have you at least tried search engines like Google to see what kind of advice might be readily available? Have you been through the help files on the computer?

It's not really that hard... but I don't know your level of computer literacy so I'm reluctant to enter into a detailed advice session over the web.

I've been wondering if I can get a linksys wireless cable/dsl modem router w/4 port switch but just use the wireless networking since I don't have cable/dsl modem.

Any ideas as to whether this could work?

The easiest way is to get a USB link cable. $25 from CompUSA. You'll be filesharing in 2 minutes.
