Well, I'll put it this way. Free Republic was never intended to be a liberal debating society. I've had way more than my fill of debating the leftist point of view. Free Republic was established for "like-minded" individuals who are fed up with liberalism and corruption and want to take direct action against the left through activism and the ballot box. The time for talk has long passed. Time to block the bastards on the street and to kick them out of government (ie, vote them out of office). I wholeheartedly concur with your statement, but it's good sometimes to read what the enemy says, so we can learn its arguments and counter them without recurring to name-calling, something liberals are fond of.

Liberals don't do that, since they considers themselvers the holders of the truth, and they call names and try to find a way to silence us, just like they've tried with Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage.

If we know what liberals say, then we'll have the instruments to defeat them in their own game.

If we just limit ourselves to the "conservatives are good, liberals are bad" diatribe, we've simply fallen to their name-calling, bad-argument game, which that's all they know, since they're incapable of logically debating.

I don't feel discouraged by the fact that I've been called a whiner (although it may have been jokingly): I'll stick to my guns and will keep coming, because I absolutely love Free Republic: It gives me a break from the blatantly liberal environment I'm surrounded by (college campus).

I'll be here always, no matter what.
