So what is the definition of "lefty discussion sites" and what are acceptable sites?
What is the etiquette and where is it posted?
Flaming the newbies may be good entertainment but depending on what you are trying to do on this site, is it really productive?
And finally, do you really want new people to use FreeRepublic or is this your private club and we should all just go away?
If so, there are other places on the net where we could spend our time.

Oh come on.... this guy didn't get flamed, this thread was in fun, as most of these are. And I think it was a very productive thread... Look how much we got Laz to open up!

Well, I'll put it this way. Free Republic was never intended to be a liberal debating society. I've had way more than my fill of debating the leftist point of view. Free Republic was established for "like-minded" individuals who are fed up with liberalism and corruption and want to take direct action against the left through activism and the ballot box. The time for talk has long passed. Time to block the bastards on the street and to kick them out of government (ie, vote them out of office). If you are not of like mind or are uncomfortable with the operation here, then, by all means, vote with your mouse.
