looks like a jeff gordon special - great for plowing people out of your way.

HEY!!!watch it! (either an Earnhart or Stewart fan)

"plowing people out of the way" doesn't get you 4 Winston Cups

Why do all cars now look like BMWs and Mercedes. We used to have some good original designs.

One factor that might give newer cars a performance edge is rotational inertia of the tires and wheels.

That and newer engines burn hotter and have better fuel air mixture dispersion patterns, and often they have more spark plugs and valves per cynlinder. Also I heard that microchips and improvement in injection and exhaust can give you at least 20hp additional power.

I like it! I think it looks good and they're doing the right thing by putting the V10 in it. 8 is just not enough...

Can hardly see what it looks like. Those pictures suck. They are either too close to get a good look, or like the top one, waaaaaaay too far away. Whatever happened to some basic side views, maybe some from slightly above and to either the left or the right? What I can see looks good, but cant see it as well as I would like...JFK

Aluminum intake, Holley Carb, Hooker comp. headers and duals with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers should crank up my Horsepower to approximately 250 to 275 H.P.

Yer just missing one thing HRII. Those small-block windsors (289-302) come ALIVE with a Competition Cams 268! Have built a couple of 289's with near-identical bolt-ons you describe and that cam changes them into bad arse machines

Last one was a 66 Fairlane 500, Wimbledon White, black tuck-n-roll, slight nose down stance, and bad to the bone. On a 20-mph rolling start, it humiliated a 455 Firebird late one evening!

Thanks for the suggestion, I of course have thought of putting a cam in I just didn't mention it but I do appreciate your input. In these day's of 4 cylinder's cranking out 300 - 400 H.P. it shouldn't suprise the Big Block lovers to find out the 289 has a lot of potential.

"Bring back the 351 Cleveland!

And six taillights!"

You're describing my '70 Cougar!

But changing spark plugs, yeeeesh!

That current "427" monstrosity looks too many other Mercedes/Chrysler and Cadillac products. Clones of other cloned drones...

What is it always with the same two pictures on all the threads?
I mean, its a nice car. How about some action photos like you showing us under the hood. The car with a bikini product model across the hood. Or two bikini product models in the seats. Or three bikini models and no car...oh wait. Cars. That was what this thread was about. Back to the pictures. How about some new ones? I'd love to see what the dash and interior look like.
Thanks.
