Whew, I had to take a break from removing wallpaper from the spare bedroom. A previous tenant thought black-papered walls were really cool, and I can't believe we haven't gotten to it in the six years we've lived here!

The profile got lots more hits than misses on the screamer.
Actually, it wasn't all that good of a scream: their was no
emotion to it - it was just dead and loud.

Dang - where would one go to find black wallpaper?

Cheers all.

Standing directly in front of Ms. Burk was a kid - he had to have been a college student - holding up a sign where she could see it, which read:

"Make me dinner."

Occasionally he would flip it over. The other side of the sign said,

"Iron me a shirt."

My son is always kidding me with those, he's so much fun.

I hope Martha enjoyed them as much as I do. :-)

Ah yes, black wallpaper. When my parents bought their first home (which is now my home) the previous owners had rather strange taste. Would you believe black wallpaper in the kitchen? That was not to be outdone though by purple and green walls upstairs, along with indoor/outdoor carpeting glued to the hardwood floor in the largest bedroom.

It makes you wonder what the previous tenants were thinking.

How did someone SO STUPID get to be an astronaut?

He served on Florida Cabinet. He also served in the Florida Legislature and Congress. Before that he was Florida's treasurer, insurance commissioner and state fire marshal from 1995 to 2000. While in the Legislature he became chairman of the Space Subcommittee of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee. And somehow got a ride on one of the Shuttles.

If you think he's stupid wait until you become exposed to Sen. Bob Graham (d)FL, running for prez.

Bob will tell anyone who will listen that GWB is ignoring the war on terror, Graham is on the Intelligence committee so he has information that tells him GWB isn't doing a good enough job.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was Graham who also said, the USA will be in Iraq for much longer than the admin. thinks, years and years and cost billions and billions of dollars. Plus the econmy in the USA will dive because of GWB thrown in for good measure.

Oh-oh, I think you just described my x.

Don't feel bad mountaineer. We have wallpaper that's hardly passable that's been up for much longer than six years.

Was that spare room for a teenager? Black lights might have been the motife. No Elvis on velvet paintings I hope.

Good Grief, the Impeached One needs to send out a ' Book of Accomplishments'!. Oh that is rich.

You know, when you have to tell people that you were a great president, you weren't.

The former owners of our house were the girls who were born and raised here and inherited it from their parents. I think they rented to college professors before selling to us, and the one who applied the black wallpaper was a young, apparently dope-smoking professor of something-or-other. Thankfully, there are no velvet paintings, odd-colored woodwork or anything else obnoxious with which to contend!

Bleah, the sight of that blubbery pile of goo just nauseates me. I wonder if any taxpayer funds are going toward x42's book of accomplishments. For that matter, what's really being done with all those Clinton Foundation and Clinton Library contributions? Will we ever know (and will anyone care)?

That's one of my rules of thumb: anyone that has to tell others that they are anything - aren't.

Cheers.

Well, like I can righteously complain, given my two lackluster senators, durbin and fitzgerald. Fitzgerald is such a dolt that he's decided not to run again - good thing because he wasn't going to be re-elected. I hope that former governor Jim Edgar runs for that seat - he's very electable, honest and Republican.

How and why do we keep electing the same nitwits to the hightest offices in our country?

I just don't get it.
