they should put a fence around this town and charge admission!
i've lived on the east coast, grew up on the great plains and rocky mountains, and lived all over california, but this town is disgusting.
the first thing you'll notice about hemet are several dozen riverside county social services buildings, some large--like an abandoned sears building, and some small. the mayors of hemet brought riverside social services to this city for employment opportunities. some of their clients look like they've climbed out of a hole. you'll see some of the most disgusting people that you've ever seen in your life in hemet.
and then there's illegal drugs, a large industry in hemet and surrounding areas.
the second thing you'll notice about hemet is the abandoned office and retail space. unbelievable! i've never seen anything like it. buildings constructed within the last ten years, abandoned.
when ladies are afraid to get out of their cars, then they don't shop in those strip malls, etc. women spend 2/3 of the consumer dollar in america. when women don't shop, those businesses either re-locate to safer locations or go broke. so, the city of hemet keeps exploding outwards.
if you like sirens, this is your town! sirens 24 hours a day. at night the police are after the criminals. and then there's the ambulances. hemet has a sizeable elderly community and they're constantly in the process of dying. pharmacies, medical services, hospitals, and mortuaries are big business here. fleecing the elderly is big business.
meanwhile, kinko's left town--what's that tell you? so, the local pip printer and other printers charge $6.00 to make one copy from a computer disk.
living in hemet is like living in a 3rd world country. there are few storm drains. so when it rains, torrents of water race down the streets, blocking pedestrians from crossing. during the last rain the street across from me was almost totally submerged.
many streets lack sidewalks, including the main street, florida av. large parts of florida are unpaved.
there are few traffic lights at intersections, so the traffic is for the most part unregulated. it makes it difficult for kids, the elderly, bicyclists, etc. to get across streets.
hemet is noted for its 4-way stops. don't be surprised if someone sitting at a stop sign waves you on! the people here are sto-o-o-pid! the other day i sat behind a guy who was stopped at a green light; he had decided to let the opposing traffic turn left in front of him, even tho' he had the right-of-way.
a riverside real estate agent said to me, these are stupidest people that i've seen in my life!
i've never seen such a disgusting place, and i'll be out when my lease is up.
remember...you're not puken unless you're hemet-puken.
They don't even have capital letters in Hemet.
Hemet? Haa, haaa!! You just described all of Riverside County! And San Bernardino!
social services to the poor are an industry here. as i said in the article, there must be several dozen buildings devoted to this industry.
some people on this forum aren't any brighter than folks in hemet!
