AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 826) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 26, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 04/26/2003 4:29:36 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The Bush Administration will consult with allies on whether to seek international sanctions against North Korea. The Communist nation has said such a move would be a "declaration of war."

Otherwise, not much news this morning.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Just peeking in while I'm resting my back. Major yard and flower garden work today. Would someone please explain to me why I didn't heed the advice about those adorable little blue berries on the Porcelin Berry Vine? I've riped out hundreds of the nasty suckers today. My hands are bleeding and tomorrow my back will feel like it's bleeding.

I'm having FUN!!

Try to take it easy, Granny. The weeds will still be there next week. And the week after.... ;>)

Good evening! How is your tooth? If you are still in pain, I have much experience with abcesses and will be glad to offer advice.

I just started reading all the stuff MadIvan has posted about the Telegraph finding links between Saddam and al Qaeda (more documents)! As usual, the President was correct!

I went to a charity fashion show and brunch this morning, followed by yard work. I have dug more dandelions than one would have thought possible. If I remember correctly, the dandelion orginally came from FRANCE. Yet another thing to blame them for!!

Yes, they came from France. Dent de Lion, or lion's tooth.

I have a very early appt. with Bart Monday morning. He called me in a scrip for an anti-biotic. I can handle the pain.

If the pain gets bad, I found that sloshing cool/cold water over the tooth helps, because it reduces the swelling, the source of the pain.

DO NOT put something hot on it!! Yikes!

Uh oh. It sounds like FReeper General Hospital is open for business, or at least the Clinic...

Hope tomorrow brings some relief for all the hurting ones.

Dolly, I don't know about Moore....UGH. I will tape the Dinner so I can zaaaap thru him if necessary.

Shall we get together when my life settles down in a few weeks? Think about a place we can meet off of I-77. Flexible as to days and times, altho weekdays are probably the best.

My poor Mil is suffering more pain now, and taking a new pain killer. Morphine may be next. She sleeps mostly and eats nil.

We're likely returning to see her next Tues.

I thought it went very well. Her teacher thought it went very well. Em..........didn't think it went so well but she got through it and survived. I wish she felt better about her playing but that's the way it goes.

One woman said it was the "most beautiful thing she'd ever heard". Everybody raved about Em & her playing and our two-piano thingy also went very well.

We had a lovely reception with punch and lots of goodies including chocolate-dipped strawberries, all kinds of bars & cookies, cheese & crackers & sliced ham & fresh fruit & more.............

A good time was had by all.:)

re. AIDS v. SARS

There will always be jealousies and money and headline grabbing between diseases. It's how the business is done. The movement to fight breast cancer, now one of the biggest money pullers, started with the complaint that the "womens cancer" was being ignored by the male-dominated medical industry.

The insidious side of AIDS policy is that PC has negated rational public health policy. No quarantines, no focus on behavorial causes... it was turned into a victimless disease, which it is entirely not.

If the AIDS devotees are upset at SARS publicity, they ought go infect people more efficiently than they've got it going presently. More victims would bring more attention and money (so long as those victims are not in Africa). They could entice high schoolers into unprotected gay sex and sharing needles. They could build more public baths. They could sue SARS victims who take their disease through a sneeze for denying 14th amendment rights to those who are forced to share their disease through the anal canal.

Don't worry about your poster friend who says that SARS is a media apparition. Ironically, the Y2K analogy is, indeed, apt. Had we not freaked over it it would have been a problem. The Y2K disaster was avoided precisely because we worried about it.
