Good Morning. The sun is shining in Iowa. 41 degrees right now,,, hoping for warmer temps. I arrived home late last night for a short weekend.

As soon as I get to work at tackling Mt Laundry, I'm going out to clear off more flower beds. I have tulips blooming thru last years dead stuff. Quite a sorry sight. No time to play or surf today.

Sarah did it. She adopted a colt from Sleipnir Horse Sanctuary.

It is her desire to pay for all of this process..from adoption fees to shipping to vet bills. She's been saving for this for many months. All the material for a another barn extension is her responsibility, too. Hubby and I..as well as Sarah will build it.

The colt's name is Chandras and he was born in March 2003. Sarah has enrolled him in Baby Boot Camp to have the basics taught (rope lead...halter...etc.) He will be delivered to our home between the months of September and November. :-)

I've never heard of it 'rain gout'. ;~) I had an uncle years ago with gout. He had a terrible time getting around due to his malady.

Raining here too.....
Started raining late yesterday afternoon, and rained all through the night, with thunder & lightning....

...but it was a steady rain, and oh so good to sleep by :)

We have an afternoon wedding to attend.

The young-(24) bride & groom-(29) to be were in our Bible Study....just a sweet couple.

Joy of joy, our new church building was JUST inspected, and the wedding will be the first event to be held there!!!!

Tomorrow is our first service there...(but I have church nursery)

We have been meeting in medical facilities and school board rooms for the past 5 years.
(but that's not so bad.....one local planted church is meeting at the local funeral home, I kid you not!!)
