BERLIN (Reuters) - A German company said on Thursday it wants to market a new condom to improve men's sexual performance by numbing the penis to prevent premature ejaculation.
The condom, which would carry thin film of anaesthetic on its inner lining, has yet to win regulatory approval.
"Men tend to get turned on more quickly than women," a spokesman for Cologne-based firm Condomi told Reuters. "Our condom will even up the odds by numbing the man's sensitive regions -- but not the whole body like when you're drunk."

I saw these 30 years ago, just not in places a respectable person would go. Stuff like this has been sold in magazines like Hustler for years.

Viagra is useful to prevent one from peeing on one's shoes and rolling over and falling out of bed. Those are the two reasons I take it.

I can't believe anybody would actually need this!Is this what they mean by kraut and weiners?

Penis-numbing condoms... "staying" lotions... I've never been into technology much. My personal best cure for premature ejaculation has always been practice, practice, practice :)

is this something a guy would want?Yes. At least, for some men. Prematurely ejaculating must be more embarrassing than using a strange condom.

The world is getting waaaaay too SELF gratifiying. This is utterly ridiculous just to make a man last longer sexually, but yet feels nothing. With this SELF gratificatiobn crap why not just invent a robot man that will screw a woman 24/7. And a mirror that will tell all men they have huge penises make more money than their neighbor, work the hardest longest hours are the bestest breadwinner stud that should ride on their lawn mower all weekend drinking beer and are the smartest and best looking and deserve to drink a case of cheap beer constantly and still perform sexually.OH NO! Technology is making people HAPPY! THE HORROR! THE HORROR!
This condom, from what I understand, does not completely take away what the man feels. You talk about selfishness, but the point of the new condom is to allow men to do a better job pleasing someone else. That's not selfishness. And it could help save some marriages. Conservatives are supposed to be in favor of that sort of thing.

"Our condom will even up the odds by numbing the man's sensitive regions -- but not the whole body like when you're drunk." So now, both the brain and the penis will be numb..... kind of puts a man on an even playing field, huh?
To: xm177e2
I am fully aware the numbing is too please someone else. I still think it is insanely ludicrous. Next... a self gratifying robot...
Sexual help is one thing but after viagra and this new rubber, what is next?

Dear Secretary Rumsfeld: My husband has a problem with premature ejaculation. Is there something I could do to make him last longer? Ellen Shapiro, Knoxville, Tennessee
Secretary Rumsfeld: I'm just going to say this once. There is no such thing as premature ejaculation. There is ejaculation, and there is non-ejaculation. If your husband is ejaculating, then count your blessings. Congratulations, you just had sex. That's what men dothey ejaculate. All this business about, "Oh, henny penny, my husband is a premature ejaculator!" is just a lot of twaddle and claptrap. You say it enough and pretty soon, believe me, he won't be ejaculating at all.

There are a couple of different ways I could read this statment... My statement applies to the application of stimuli that makes the condom necessary in the first place...by my one and only, the lovely and talented Mrs. B.S. Roberts.
I...hope that clarifies things a bit for you without being...indelicate.
