Thoughts on American military performance in Operation Iraqi Freedom? (Vanity Post)

What are everyone's thoughts on the military's performance in Operation Iraqi Freedom? I'm incredibly impressed. They were absolutely stunning. The total number of combat troops was less than 100,000 in combat situations. The 4th Division has barely finished unloading in Kuwait, thanks to the Turks, and didn't see combat. Small portions of special forces and Airborne units operated in northern and western Iraq. Most of the embedded reporters reported from the either the same recurring Army Division or the Marine Expeditionary Force. There were 5 or 6 carriers in the theater, not to mention a few hundred (upwards of 1,000?) Air Force assets in place for bombing and support. The United Kingdom deployed somewhere between 25,000-40,000 troops(?) and took Basra solo. With that force, America and the United Kingdom pretty much invaded, defeated and liberated a country the size of California in less than a month's time.

I think it definitely shuts the naysayers up...the ones who said Rumsfeld started with too few forces.
