The Guild 4-12-2003 Hair Spray Saves the Day!
Posted on 04/12/2003 4:04:21 AM PDT by BigWaveBetty
A man was blissfully driving along the highway, when he saw the Easter Bunny hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the Bunny, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of his car and was hit. The basket of eggs went flying all over the place. Candy, too.
The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road, and got out to see that the colorful little Bunny was dead. The driver felt guilty and began to cry.
A woman driving down the same highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong.
"I feel terrible," he explained, "I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny and killed it. There may not be an Easter because of me. What should I do?"
The woman told the man not to worry. She knew exactly what to do. She went to her car trunk, and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead Bunny, and sprayed the entire contents of the can onto the poor little bunny.
Miraculously the Easter Bunny came to back life, jumped up, picked up the spilled eggs and candy, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped on down the road. Fifty yards away the Easter Bunny stopped, turned round, waved and hopped on down the road another 50 yards turned, waved, hopped another 50 yards and waved again!!!!
The man was astonished. He said to the woman, "What in heavens name is in your spray can? What was it that you sprayed on the Easter Bunny?"
The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said: "Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave."

Chelsea can live in Harlem. That way, she can be the first (white)black woman president.

Clinton is so full of it. He knew about the overstatements of profits, etc, his minions are the ones who made it possible, and line their pockets. Good thing I have a meeting in a bit, this stuff from him is making me quite ill.

"If you fight terrorism, you can't make America a better place to be." I think Bill means to say that if we fight terrorism, the money that goes there won't be available to sink into such programs as his (more cops on the street, midnight basketball, Hillary! care, etc.) I think, or maybe it is less money to line the pockets of some corrupt bureaucrats. Who knows what goes on in his addled brain???

Harlem's probably a tad "too too" uptown for our downtown girl, Chelsea.

As if "making America a better place" doesn't begin with eliminating terrorism? Unreal.

Good morning, all. Here's an amusing paranoia alert (from Page Six) about the left's posterboy for Bush bashing:
PORCINE provocateur Michael Moore is using sophisticated wave-form analysis technology to argue that CNN amplified the booing in its re-broadcast of his George Bush-bashing Oscar speech.
According to a posting on Moore's Web site, "CNN and CNN Headline News aired a significantly different audio response to Moore's speech than was originally broadcast on ABC. It seems that someone has manipulated the audio to give the impression there was constant loud 'booing' throughout Moore's speech, when in reality, there was only marginal booing often overridden with cheers and applause. This needs to be fully investigated . . . [By whom? Is there a govt. agency that deals with this critical issue?] [H]ere we have a clear and shocking example of unethical behavior through manipulation of an historic event."
Moore has posted a digitized version of the ABC and CNN footage along with MP3s of the audio, as well as a wave form analysis of both clips.
A CNN rep snorts, "It's ridiculous. That's our response."

Sharon Bush -- the estranged wife of presidential brother Neil Bush and the mother of their three children, including fashion model Lauren Bush -- is planning a tell-all memoir of her more than two decades in the inner circle of America's premier political dynasty.
The 49-year-old Sharon and the 48-year-old Neil, who met in New Hampshire during the elder George Bush's unsuccessful 1980 presidential campaign, sat down yesterday to try to settle their fractious divorce before Wednesday's scheduled start in a Houston court. The same day, news of her book project was splashed in the New York Observer -- a publicity campaign orchestrated by Sharon's recently hired public relations adviser, former tabloid editor Lou Colasuonno.
The Manhattan weekly reported that Sharon traveled to New York to discuss her literary options, along with a few choice Bush family secrets, with best-selling celebrity biographer Kitty Kelley, who is toiling away at her own exposé of the Bush family dynasty.
Rest of story:

Cindy Adams writes:
EVERYONE'S writing about the Hillary book. And that it may be in trouble. Much of it - especially as she relives those early years - is touching and delicious. And whoever's seen it, loves it. However, those close to the manuscript are saying that, unfortunately, she won't tell the seamy slimy stuff.
Why would she? She's going to rise higher in public life. This is no B-actress whose future is behind her and needs this shot. Telling how her guts turned during Operation Monica is not statesmanlike. "They" want the Vince Foster truth. More of the Bill and Hill inside. The what makes this marriage work chapters. This she isn't doing.
There may be yet a little give and take, a little rewriting and reworking. Those who love her say she doesn't need the money and should give back her $2.whatever mil advance.

As if "making America a better place" doesn't begin with eliminating terrorism? Unreal. Exactly, as if making it so that terrorists don't fly planes into skyscrapers is something not to be done because the money isn't there for some stupid liberal government scheme. I wish Bill had an email address I could write to, the first order of business for the US government is to protect its citizens, and that is exactly what President Bush is doing. And that is exactly NOT what Bill and Hillary! did during their reign of terror for eight long years.
