Leftist seventh grade teacher preaching anti-America, blame America socialist propaganda!

Fellow Freepers,

My child has been coming home from school telling me some very disturbing things that are being said by a 7th grade U.S. History teacher.

According to other parents that I have spoken with, this is nothing new. No one will step up because of the fear of major repercussions from this teacher and / or other leftist teachers. I have a letter written, but after thinking about having my child be targeted for revenge I did not send it.

Some of the things he is spewing to a “captive audience”, who think what is being said is fact. 1, George W. is responsible for the space shuttle crash, because he is spending all our money on wars against innocent people for oil to enrich other wealthy friends. 2, George Bush and Brittan are the only countries fighting in Iraq, Every other nation hates us. Basically the unilateral line of BS. 3, George Bush started this war for oil and because his dad was defeated in Gulf war 1. 4, We are going to have thousands killed for oil. These are a few of the things that I was told about. I am outraged by this. Am I out of line or not? Is a good Freeping in order? I need some advice.

I have his name the schools name and the principals name, "I didn't know if we were allowed to post this information" if the good Freepers feel like putting some pressure on the school district to stop this leftist, socialist propaganda from being given as the truth in public school! Send the letter, alert the media, go to the PTA meetings, do everything you can to expose this person. Have your child take a tape recorder into class if you wish, but check your state laws first.

You must document and go to the principal. Say that if it does not stop or if there are any more problems you will contact a lawyer (or the ACLJ). That stopped it in my school in MI.

You need to get the local media involved as well as attacking this problem yourself. An article in the local paper about this or on the local news would help speed this along.

Get other parents together and make his life miserable. Contact him, contact the principal, contact the superintendant, contact the school board member you know will be supportive. Get grade reports from him prior to doing this so you can document your child's grade. Inform the principal that you are worried about retribution. Request copies of detailed lesson plans which should show twhat the class is doing daily.

I am really sorry to hear that your child is being subjected to this garbage. I think it would be fine to post the information. This is exactly why I home school, but I know that's not an option for everyone. Demanding a propaganda free, politics free education is your right. I understand your hesitation, however, and think it's a pretty good idea to let freepers do the complaining for you. What can they do to us?

I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but before Freepers take action, you must start locally. Find other parents and children to corroborate your story and get them to sign onto your letter.

Approach the principal and school board with the letter.

If nothing improves, come back and let us know.

First: do not be afraid. Second: do not let your child be afraid. Go to school board meetings, talk to the teacher directly, talk to the principal, talk to other parents - will there be reprisals against your child - maybe. However you can not allow brainwashing of a child's mind because you are afraid. My husband and I taught our daughter to stand up to these "teachers" with facts and courage. She graduated a year early from high school with a 3.8 average with more backbone than most adults. She also went on a full scholarship to a great college, graduating in three years.
Is it hard yes, but what is right is right and should be spoken. Be strong, do not cower, and challenge challenge challenge!!!!!!!
