How is YOUR church responding to the war?

i just returned from saturday evening mass, a normal serive in the Catholic church. our deacon mentioned a special memorial for the relatives of parishioners, to utilize photos and names of our members' relatives and friends on a special memorial to be placed at the entry to services. our priest, fr. salanitro, had a special homily, based on war movies. it focused primarily on "Saving Private Ryan", the nature of sacrifice, tying in the sacrifices our servicemen and women make to the ultimate sacrifice that Christ made for us all. the mass concluded with a special prayer for our armed forces, president, and all in public service, with a special call for peace with justice for all the righteous. it really warmed my heart. just curious--how are other churches/denominations dealing with the war??

I go to a Baptist Church in the Atlanta area. Our church has members who are fighting in Iraq: including a father and son. Before they left, the entire church prayed for them. We pray for all the troops (including our members), our leaders (including President Bush) and Iraqis civilians every Sunday. They are also on our sunday school prayer list and are prayed for seven days a week. We sing patriotic songs in church. We have a large flag hung high in the front of the church. I don't know who did or didn't support the war before it began. It seems now that war has come, ( I am unaware of any exceptions) we all support our country and pray for victory.
