The New Plan for the USA. Minding our own business.
Unknown

Posted on 03/29/2003 8:15:04 AM PST by Texas Mom

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of one plan for peace. " Books, not Bombs" won't work. The head mullahs won't let anyone read them. If they do, they poke their eyes out. Many around the world and yes, even here think we should mind our own business. Wonder what they would think if we did just that.

Here's the plan:

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini and the rest of them 'good old boys'. We will never "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers.

5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides, most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if any anyway.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

Now, ain't that a winner of a plan?

I think this was written tongue in cheek but it makes sense to me. I wonder if the UN really wants us to mind our own business.

Numbers 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9 seem reasonable to me.

You know, part of me would like to see us withdraw and watch the world go to shit .... War on the Korean Peninsula. War on Taiwan. A nuclear-armed Japan gearing up for battle with China. War in Kashmir. Israel nuking Damascus. Chaos in the Balkins (in a few years). A newly socialist Brazil spreading Marxism through South America.

Problem is, the world still wouldn't get it. Now that Communism and its little brother Socialism are dead or dying, anti-Americanism is the new ideology. It's baseless and utterly incapable of reason.

We would still be promptly blamed for everything that goes wrong.

All but number 5 sound pretty good. Lots of older adults are returning to school to start a whole new career. The old "know what you want to do with your life by the time you're 18, major in it, graduate at 22, and do it till you retire or die at 65" model just doesn't work anymore. But I see the point, the "professional students" like Sgt Akbar (9 years to complete his degree, and I'm suuuure neither his admission or his continual readmissions, or his eventual successful completion had anything at all to do with affirmative action) are the ones who like to set themselves up as campus gurus.

Please don't buy into the argument that no one supports the US & Britain.

The last count I heard was that 47 other countries support the US and Britain.

If one wants to ignore or sanction France, Germany, Belgium, Canada, et al I am with you, but the 47 countries that have bravely stood by the USA & Britain deserve our support and trade.

I agree with the list, and could add a few more to it, like: Get the UN out of the USA, off of American soil, stop paying the UN dues, stop paying any money to other country's for instance; France can fend for themselves and guarantee their own loans, Turkey has been receiving millions if not billions from the US as a NATO member. The bases were set up in Turkey to protect american interests from the USSR (that no longer exists)Let the cat worshiping TURKS fend for themselves, bitmish CHALISHMA..

That is actually more than there was in Desert Storm if I'm not mistaken.
