I don't know if anyone else has noticed them, but Fox News is doing some AWESOME adds thanking and praying for our troops.
We are all good at writing angry e-mails when we feel passionate about something said or done that we disagree with. But how about we give an "atta boy" to Fox News. What they are doing is AWESOME!!!

I see no whoring in giving a solider an opportunity to say hello to his or her parents during this conflict.I don't see a problem with that part of it either... it's the Fox News advertising they each do at the end of their greeting. Like I said, I *love* FNC, I'm just not sure why they want these troops to maxamize their airtime with personal messages.

We've actually been really happy with Geraldo's reporting. It was only his CONSTANT mention of the anti-American demonstrators that we were upset with that night. It could NOT have helped Esprit d' Cour!!!
But like I said.. Geraldo isn't hearing about all the SUPPORT rallies while he is over there. Why? Because the media both televised and printed,..are NOT reporting them!! Not even the ones with 20,000 people at them. Or the ones like we attended THAT VERY DAY at Sacramento, with approx 4,000 people at it!!
By writing to Fox we hope they will start to report on those rallies. But we also really want to THANK them for their VERY VISUAL support of our troops. They've been the best out there in this regard. They are extremely PRO TROOPS and Pro Commander in Chief!!
God Bless them for that!!

I like those little spots too, but I saw something on Fox last night that almost made me puke. They have these little animated graphics about various weapons systems. We've all seen them... here's the JDAM, it's this long, it weighs that, and so on, while a little 3-D picture of it spins around. They have these for the M-1 tank, the various kinds of aircraft, etc. Last night up pops the same thing on... a Marine. He's wearing this, he's carrying that, he's armed in these ways... it was like one of those video games where various characters have different powers and properties. The "Wizard" can fly and cast spells; it takes 150 whackpoints to knock him out, he can be invisible. The "Magog" has one eye and a big club; it takes 500 whackpoints to knock him down, and 1000 to kill him; he can see you coming for miles. It really trivialized the whole thing, and added to the impression that the war is turning into a kind of sick video game where millions of people keep their eyes glued to the tube hoping to see something blow up. |

I didn't see the graphics, but I'm sure they are working on different things, and don't always do it perfectly.
But while I was typing this response, I heard a reporter explaining the deaths in other conflicts, and how "even though extremely sad, the casualties have been very low during this conflict"
Fox News tells the TRUTH, and isn't pandering to the anarchists who hate this country and to the liberals who hate this President.
I think they are doing an AWESOME job!!
These spots they are doing, will do wonders for troop morale!
FRegards, Vets

FOX News is #1 in my book and has been for about 3 years now. I am reminded of the article posted a day or two ago about the 9 year old FReeper daughter that toured a CNN facility and asked them if they had noticed that their ratings have been tanking ever since FOX News came along! LOL! Did you see that? . . .

It was a short little vanity, but I thought it was worth pinging.
Here is the
LINK to it.
Here is the text excerpt I pinged on that post:
Here is a story of a future freeper. My nine year old daughter recently toured CNN with her class. We have had a lot of talk in our house about media bias (from all angles) and she was particularly miffed at them after spending 5 weeks in Europe watching them bash Bush (she loves him). When the time came for questions, you can imagine how goofy they were.........until Lucy. She raised her hand and politely asked," Have you noticed a drop in ratings since Fox news came on the air." They were literally stunned silent!
I can't get to your graph, Dog Gone it
:O( . . .
