Check out Wayne Watson's "The Ones Left Standing". While it is neither country, nor is it specifically military per se, I think you will find it deeply moving- and so will he. Also, Billy Ray Cyrus' "Some Gave All".

You will find the Watson tune at your local Christian bookstore. I don't know about where you are but mine will allow you to preview music before you buy it. Or post to me privately and I will find a way to send you a copy.

As a former Navy wife, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. I wish you the best of luck with your project.

Best version of our national anthem I have ever heard:
 http://www.welovesarah.com/josh NBC's "The Concert For America 2002" - September 11, 2002 - Time: 2:57 -
Download the high fidelity Mp3
Josh courageously sings the US national anthem, "Star Spangled Banner" at the
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A concert that honors the memory,
sacrifice, and courage of the American people, including the heroes of the New
York Police and Fire Departments. Attended by The President, First Lady,
Secretary of State Colin Powell.

Have you heard of a group called PokerFace? They're really good, and have a strong message to their music. Try "I'd Rather Die (than be your slave)". www.pokerface.com
