Question of flag ettiquete

TOPICS: History; Military/Veterans
KEYWORDS: americanflag; patiotism
My husband has asked that I fly the 1st Navy Jack flag when the war begins. I have an American flag that I fly already, is it inapropriate to take the American flag down to fly the Jack or can they be flown together- On his submarine they are flown on separate poles. I would appreciate any comments

Thanks!

The U.S. flag may be flown on the same pole with the jack. The U.S. flag must always be on top. If on different poles the U.S. flag should have the position of "honor" or to it's own right. To the left as viewed. On separate poles, the U.S. flag should be first raised, last lowered.

On a single pole, put the US flag on top. I fly the US and POW/MIA flag on a singlre pole.

The US flag must be higher and at a straighter position. The secondary flag must be lower and tilted at a lower position.
