Some species of bedbugs mate by having the male literally stab the female (anywhere) with his swordlike penis and injecting his sperm into her body. Her bloodstream then carries the sperm to her eggs.
Some other insects (certain speies of thrips, IIRC) reach sexual maturity while still inside their mother's body. The (usually lone) male in the "litter" impregnates his sisters and then dies (still in the womb), and then the females are literally born pregnant.
Insects are such a hugely varied group of species that no matter what weird mode of life you can conceive of, they've probably got it in some species or another.
