various links and websites

At the request of members, I am restarting those "Tales from the Dark UnderBelly Of the Beast"-- the stories and issues that the press and media either ignore, won't even talk about, or will mention once and forevermore claim "it's old news..."
Naturally, some will be stories which interest me, or things I think we all need to be aware of.
I am experimenting with a minor change in presentation- when I can, I will cut to
-GoogleNewsBeta--
with a keyword or two and see what kind of links to "mainstream" stories I can find in contrast to what we see here and on other sites.
May I remind you of a couple of points to bear in mind?
Each link usually has many other links within- follow them all to get "the rest of the story."
Don't forget the "open multiple browsers" trick with control-n -- this allows you to hold your place with one, and use the others to follow links, run searches, etc.
Rather than go back and rehash old links, I'll give you links to the original posts here:
-DUBOB 10- the *best of* the Dark Underbelly Series--
-DUBOB 9-- even *more* tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast..... --
DUBOB 8-- still *more* tales from the Underbelly***
DUBOB 7-- even *more* tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast.....
DUBOB 6-- yet *more* tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast.....
DUBOB 5-- even *more* tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast.....
DUBOB IV- yet more Tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast-
DUBOB III -- "Tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast"
DUBOB 2-- more tales from The Dark Underbelly of the Beast-- thread II
-The Dark Underbelly of the Beast- Stories the Media won't Discuss...--

IIRC, Dick was very vocal about Ron Brown's death, then suddenly went silent:
"If you don't believe me just take a trip to Piskaryovsoye Cemetery outside of the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. You will not find any names of the dead because there are nearly a half million people buried there; just 186 plus mass graves, each containing a simple marker noting the year those interred in each grave died. This is what we can expect if we do not respond to the "clear and present danger" that Saddam and Muslim fundamentalists represent to America and it's Allies."

Then when they came for me, there was no one left to stand up for me.'

Better read this, too--
Conservatives do not own the monoploy on hypocrisy. There was a reason that I left the Left behind. All that '90's greed and political subterfuge has come home to roost and all that you and your accursed spawn can do about it is lamely call President Bush "Dumbya," blame America (and Republicans) for 9/11 and all of the world's problems, cover for dictators like Saddamn Hussein, (because the enemy of my enemy is my friend) raise the old 60's spectres of "the rich, white, military/industrial complex conspiracy," (No blood for Oil!) and try to ignore/excuse the combined evils caused by terrorism and communism with psycho-babble that went out with the '60's.
Cleaning up Clinton's mess will take years.
Not satisfied with the near-total stranglehold Liberal have on the networks and the mainstream media, and terrified by last November’s GOP victories and the success of the "fair and balanced” Fox News Cable...

The whole fiasco is a classic coverup by the criminals of Fed and California Fish and Game rats who are life long card carrying members of Green Jihadist organizations. Then they tried to blame GW for this.

ejectejecteject ^ | January 26, 2003 | Bill Whittle
As long as I draw breath, I swear I will never forget the sight of two people holding hands, and leaping from 108 stories above the hard concrete sidewalks that I myself have walked, gawking skyward at one of the wonders of the world. I will not forget them. I will not forget their fall, the spin that finally tore their hands apart as they fell forever, forever down that quarter-mile

Maybe they are also carrying a 'package' at North Korea's request, too. NK said they would attack Americans everywhere with weapons of mass destruction.
Got a question .. Has the UN .. Blix or any of the inspector ever mention these mobile laboratories in any of their reports ?
Clinton's a menace to the national security because he knows all this and discards it because it is inconvenient to his ambition. He is incapable of putting the country ahead of himself, again.

Behind Enemy Lines: A View of the San Francisco Peace RallyJerhad!com ^ | 2/18/03 | JerhadI went to the march in D.C. about a month ago to see for myself as you did. I too noticed that very little was said about the war directly, and about Saddam, nothing was said at all: it was all gay and lesbian this or that, anti-Bush, anti-capitalism, anti-anti abortion, free Mumia Jamal, etc. & etc.
I heard on the radio today, a report by a young man who, with one friend, had "infiltrated" this so-called "peace" rally, bearing signs which either carried the organisers own slogans to their absurd conclusion, or pointed out the hypocracy in the "anti-war" positions. The captions, as I recall his stating them, were:
Protect Islamic property rights! No western interference in the Middle East (illustrated by a cartoon of a woman in a burka chained up like a dog)
Except for eliminating slavery, fascism, Nazism, and Communism, War doesn't accomplish anything.
Communism has only killed 100 Million people in the last century. Let's give it one more chance. (This went over real big when they stood with it in front of the WWP recruiting table.)

The Second AmendmentThe Sierra Times ^ | 18 February 2003 | Robert GreensladeWell written in easy to understand terms. I know we win the Constitutional argument with reasonable men. As I see it, the problem is that we are not dealing with reasonable men. We are dealing with deceitful, dishonest, power hungry leftists leading the intellectually bereft to the Promised Land.
