Meek, weren't we talking about this very thing the other night? How likely would this approach have been, had these films been made in Hollywood, by all of the superegos there?

They wouldn't have been able to resist the temptation. They would've slipped SOMETHING political (and probably Liberal) into it...and immediately driven half of their audience into the hills.

Peter Jackson just continues to impress me.

Heck, Hollyweird originally wanted it to be condensed into one movie. It would have never worked, and then if they put their little messages in it? Horrors!

I saw TTT on Christmas Eve.... I'm ready for reel three now. :-)
