I'm sure 'critical thinking' will be considered to be any kind of thought that brings you out on the left side of the issue.

Chuckle, chuckle. One of the zealots over in the religion wars has been harping on how I need to be a critical thinker.

I told her she wasn't a thinker. She was just critical.
