Not a bad tip, but I don't have buckets of vermiculite around (and I can't steal it from work like OT does) Does this mean I have to go to out? - I hate town! :~D

Hmmmm.....you could use that seedling mix type potting soil.

Next time you're at the feed store, ask them if they have it. Do they do any gardening stuff?
