I went to one of those once. Both my kids have been once - different times - Jill went with me, Myranda went on a school field trip. It was okay. One of those things I'm glad I did once but it's not going to make the to-do list again.
I'd think it would be fun for you to go tomorrow. But, with the thought that it might not be something you want to do every year.
Yesterday I noticed a program I've got tacked up on my bulletin board. I thought of you guys. It's from a concert in Colonial Williamsburg.
They do regular concerts of colonial period music. This one was a "Candlelight Concert" in the Governor's Mansion. Harpsichord, violin, viola, cello and flute. The players are in colonial costume and it's done completely by candlelight.
It was great.
LOL! Sounds like fun! We have a thing near us called "King Richard's Faire", it is like a Late Medieval/Early Renaissance festival with knights on horseback doing jousting and other demostrations, and folks doing crafts of the era. It runs for several weeks in the Fall. We've never been, but I'd like to take the kids when we start studying the Medieval era, which will be year after next. Their studies and reading will mean more to them if they can connect it with something more 'real'.
