I think if you turn the old machine on you can export that stuff to disk and import it.

Do I have to reconnect to the Internet? I'm gonna have to set it up again tonite anyway. Mrs. needs to print stuff for school.

Not to just copy your old mail and address book files off, no. I think you can export them to to a file and move them via disk if reconnecting it is a problem. I use Outlook instead of Outlook Express, but I think OE would have similar tools.
