which by the way, it pleases me to no end he is doing something on that...for those who don't know, there is a book called "Isaac's Storm"...if I remember correctly the storm of 1999 was essentially a benchmark in meteorology as well as the devastation a storm can exact on an area. The gentleman, Isaacs, was someone who tried to predict oncoming storms, and if I remember correctly had been working with the Galveston officials in getting out information...I only skimmed through part of the book when I visited the museum there in Galveston this past Christmas.
I love Galveston! I hope Astin features stuff about The Strand (yes, named after the one in England). Galveston was the 'Wall Street of the South' before Great Storm.
I also bet he is going to have one of the major figures, Rosenberg, in there. The little town that sits right next to Richmond was named after him. He was a RailRoad tycoon.
Anyway, thanks for the report Hair...I've been an admirer of Astin for a LONG time...when I heard that he and Wood were going to be the lead characters in LOTR, my instant reaction was "BUT OF COURSE!!" I knew they would be excellent, and they are!
