Those are fabulous. And Sean Connery and Leo DiCaprio would have made a decent Gandalf and Legolas. But only Wood could have played Frodo. He's the one actor who could carry the one-ring role, uh, something. :)

And if Jackson had tried for those guys the budget would have blown through the roof I'm sure. Much as I can't stand Julia Roberts, she might have been an improvement over Liv.

Those are great 'alternate' characters, Hair. Though Viggo looks scruffy as Aragorn, Russell Crowe looks like he's been 'rode hard and put up wet'!
