The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

LOL I am sorry, but I seriously have no idea who they were for...I am not even sure who was playing!! I just know that for the effort of getting together a few snacks, I was able to chat on the computer all evening!
I know, I'm terrible!
To: SuziQ
So in later years it was "you like her better than me...she got a bug on her cake and I didn't." LOL! What is it with you grudge holders?!
Notice that I started up with that stuff in a joking manner after I had already moved out of the house :)
I finally got a bug on my birthday cake...it was bigger than my sister's but hers was cuter.

Hi, Wn! I think the picture you're referring to was originally posted
on this thread here by Alkhin. Unfortunately it doesn't appear now (at least for me) but if I recall correctly it was a different pic from the one Rosie posted!

Frank - the bearded guy who sounds gay, but isn't. His only drawback is that he insists on adding something "quirky" to every design. It usually ends up being artwork of some kind, but you can always remove it!
The flowers thing was stupid. How on earth is anyone supposed to clean that? And in a bathroom, the humidity would grow mold and mildew on the flowers. Not to mention, IIRC, the home was in Louisiana - humidity central!
I would have stapled flowers all over her car to see how she likes it.
BTW - nice honest snaig of the double Precious!

There was a woman who told her that she believed her dog was her "papa" reincarnated. Can you believe that the "psychic" said that it was!!??? Sheesh! Wait 'til she has to have "papa" put to sleep...

BTW, when I win the HGTV Dream Home, we can move Entmoot to our house in the Panhandle...Which panhandle is that, Corin? I haven't paid attention this year to the Dream Home contest.

I am sorry, but I seriously have no idea who they were for... I was "working" for Jack Kemp during the 1994 Super Bowl. Okay I was "consulting" and not getting paid, but I got to go help with his Super Bowl weekend.
Jr. was not quite five. He was cheering for the "Buffaloes," and looking for daddy in the stands.

"The person we briefly saw singing was singing with Sting."I love Sting, but I thought the choice of song was very disappointing. And they didn't sound all that great together either. Plus I didn't like her shaking herself right up next to him...grrr. Because that's my job!

Which panhandle is that, Corin? Florida panhandle. You can see the home at HGTV.com

Sheesh! Wait 'til she has to have "papa" put to sleep... My thoughts exactly.

Rats!
Okay I need advice from a Mom.
I think I'm getting conjunctivitis. A co-worker agrees. I can't treat this myself can I? I have to go in for the antibiotic?
To: Corin Stormhands; RMDupree
Well, like I said, I have only been able to stand it for less than a minute at a time. I remember one woman whose cat was peeing on the bed that the cat was doing it because she hated the new boyfriend, and that the boyfriend was mean to the cat when the woman wasn't around.

Did you notice that you can hear the beating of the Nazgul's wings when Frodo is in Osgiliath...right before he says "There're here...they've come"? Faramir says for them to take the hobbits to his father, he's sending a mighty gift. Sam is telling why Boromir died...then someone shouts "Watch out!" and that tower gets hit with something...right then, the beating of the wings begins but I think only Frodo can hear them at first...he looks overcome.

Dexter Jackson, the defensive back who made the first two interceptionsWe didn't start watching until the 3rd quarter, just in time to see the Bucs make a touchdown and bring the score to 27-3. Then a minute later, another Buc intercepted and ran it in for a touchdown. Near the end of the game, that same guy intercepted AGAIN and ran it in AGAIN for a touchdown! I think his name was Stuart, or something.
Anyway, it was a fun game to watch the end of; many Super Bowl games are just dead boring!

I'd imagine so...get some antiobiotic drops. If it's really conjunctivitis, it's very contagious! Keep your hands clean!

I am not a mom, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night, and I have had pinkeye.
It is highly contageous if you really have pinkeye.... I would be surprised if your office wouldn't rather you went home. You will give it to your whole family (I think including the pets) if you don't get it treated asap.

Sheesh! Wait 'til she has to have "papa" put to sleep...Is that kinda like "Throw Mama from the Train" ? ;^)
