Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Thanks... I need them... Sheesh! Talk about stating the obvious!
Seriously tho, you're in our prayers, along with our other dedicated servicemen and women standing along the front lines to defend our freedom and ideals.
Thank you.
To: Corin Stormhands
Well, you weren't very far behind at all!
To: ksen
We watched The Sixth Sense last night. That was even scarier than Signs. I didn't think so.
Maybe it's because I think aliens are easier to believe than ghosts?
To: Corin Stormhands
I think aliens are easier to believe than ghosts? Really? - Why is that? Little green men, really?

I don't think I have enough ceiling paint anyway...but I can still do the patching.

(still snowing here....cat is watching it)

I find it unbelievably funny to imagine them just lurking at the moot. Standing around the outside of the table.... just listening. That is a great mental image, isn't it? Imagine us sitting at the table in the restaurant and having sad little faces pressed up against the window looking at us. LOL!!

19 degrees....> 100 accidents....stay off the roads....I can handle that.
To: RMDupree
We just seem like such an odd place to lurk.... escpecially since the entrance standards are so low!

How much snow?
To: HairOfTheDog
Well, you weren't very far behind at all! I read the thread last night, but didn't post...
To: HairOfTheDog
see what I mean?
To: Overtaxed
Isn't it kinda nice when someone
tells you to stay home and relax? Can you imagine the poor people that are so driven in their lives that they can't just pile up and watch the world go by for a day or two?
Not me, I tell ya...twist my arm to pile up on the couch! LOL
To: HairOfTheDog
Okay don't laugh, but it looks like there's 3-4 inches on my deck railing. :))

Little green men, really? Well, not really. Prolly the difference for me with those two movies was the "gotcha" element seemed a lot more intense in Signs. And maybe because in The Sixth Sense the dead people aren't really trying to hurt the kid.
Those demon elements in Ghosts still spook me when I see 'em tho...
To: My back yard
What a sweet husband. Mine has been tolerant of my buying most of those things for myself. And he tolerates me watching the movie over and over. It is going in the background in one or the other room most of the time. At least I have the kids enjoying it with me. ( and then I have the CD FOTR at work to listen to) Well, it did take some time for him to get used to me talking about people with names like "HairoftheDog", "2Jedismom", "My back yard", etc. :)
My nephew pesters me everyday to play the FoTR CD-rom game I have, but I refuse to let him play it until he has watched the movie. I'm a mean auntie! But let's face it, he has to have a general understanding of the story in order to play it effectively, doesn't he? Hehehehe.

To: 2Jedismom
No, I didn't, but I do want to. 2J, if it is saved as a word doc, can you post it again, or freepmail it to me, since I'm not sure where I put it? I now have my recipe file opened, so it can go right in, where I'll know where itr is, to be printed out on demand.
My apologies (and hopes that I can get it again).
To: 2Jedismom
Yeah...I don't have people telling me that very often. It's usually "get off your butt and do something." :)
