Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I got to book eight before I just stopped caring.

I did not bother to get the latest one; I went online and found out it was worse than ever. Still more "building up to nothing" and everyone's still idiotic and boring and sniffly.

By the end of book eight I was wishing that they'd get invaded, go completely insane, and have the Black Aes Sedai win.

I was hoping for gruesome death scenes. Like in "Braveheart". Only more painful, for the characters and their families and friends and pets and allies and enemies... heck, send the plague and wipe out the world!

That would work....put everyone out of their misery.

By the way do you know a good knife fight scene I can read or watch? I think my scene isn't quite right and it's important.

WN: Sears sells them, bought one last summer, need to periodically plug them in to a standard electrical socket to keep the charge up. Susan got an "inflator", runs off the cigarette lighter, good for the low tire you find in the morning. Both are pretty good to have.

May I suggest the opening scene of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"? Or Indy vs. the sword swinger in "Raiders of the Lost Ark?" :)

I have a little air compressor too... has a battery that will hold enough charge to inflate a few tires, but it will also plug into the cigarette lighter in a pinch!

Names for countries, people, titles for various positions, that sort of thing. I need a title other than "King" for my one character because it sounds really stupid for some reason.
