Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I wish I could ship him to you. The only thing I see visibly wrong with him is a touch of the Demodectic mange, but that's primarily due to stress in puppies and is easily cured with a special dip. He's had a rough time of it apparently...he's painfully thin and a bit jumpy, but great with kids from what I've seen so far.
The best dog I've ever had, Scruffy, had Demodex as a pup and I got rid of it in a couple of weeks. Never got it again since he's been living the good life! He'll be 10 years old this January.

ooops... looks like he's on the run already... that's okay... he'll just die tired...

I hate that that he'll automatically be put down. That's too bad. Now that I'm here by myself I sure would not mind having a nice real dog.
Of course I have to deal with the eccentric Smeagol too. And she can't handle not being an "only" dog. But, she isn't exactly who I'd have picked to come share my space. And the one you have sounds a lot more like what I'd like.
