Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hobbit Hole IV - The Neverending Thread?
Just kidding, I like your suggestion, but Corin's right, HHIV is not a good abbreviation. I guess HH3 is better.

With all the excitement over the trailer and the new name, I've neglected to tell you that Frodo is here!
He arrived safely this afternoon.
He is standing well. Structurally, he seems sound. MBY did a good job of re-enforcing his..er..backside. (Are you an elf MBY? Do you have healing powers?)
But he has definite visible foldy lines. I'm not sure markers are the right approach. I think they might bleed too much. Suzi mentioned some acrylic paints. Maybe we should just let her take a whack at it...so to speak.
But it's a little disconcerting to be here alone and run to answer the phone and see him standing there...
