Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, on my first attempts I was counting from the "first post of the day" to the "last post of the day", no matter what time those might actually be. That got to be too complicated though, so now I'm just going by actual post date. It all evens out, anyway.
633 for today, and counting. We're about 1300 behind the NES.

I have Quicktime, but it won't play the video! I only get audio!
It's telling me I don't have the right compressor, but when I do my "quicktime update", it says I'm up to date!

Go to the "About" menu on Quicktime, and see what version you have. If it's 6.1 or later, then it should be all right.
What operating system are you running? You may need to uninstall Quicktime, and then install the latest version (rather than updating.)

Yes... I would recommend you go and download the latest version of Quicktime, then uninstall the one you have and install the new one. I have version 6.1 running on Win2000, and the video displayed just fine.
