Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

When the thread implodes, we all go over to ecurbh's forum until the new one gets sorted out. :)It is depressing to me that the Neverending story will implode first. Who's our best thread killer?... we can send them over there.

There is no plan at all. whatsoever! 
If the 64,000 holds true, The Neverending Story should implode in about 3,000 posts. We can watch what happens over there and then decide.

Personally, I think you and ecurb...the creative ones...should get our next page set up and ready...something related to ROTK.
If not, we'll all have to congregate over at the PJ Comix thread until something gets set up and that would be just horrible...like hanging out in a "rent by the hour" hotel room.

Well, Bless your heart, Ruthy! With all these mouths to feed in the Hobbit Hole, no wonder you needed a larger fridge! I'm thinking when we remodel or build new, I'm gonna get one of those counter-depth fridges. That way things won't tend to get lost at the back and create new life forms! ;o)

OK - Everyone think of a new thread title! - I liked the idea of using Chapter names or other good short quotes.... and I like the idea of "The Hobbit Hole IV - The Long Expected Party" because it might get us through the RoTK premier and Entmoot. BUT it isn't RoTK related, it has gone backwards from the Crossroads. Anything, or any variation you all can think of?

LOL!!
It is actually very tiring, if you keep at it. The boys sat on the floor and rolled it back and forth. After 15 minutes, Josh cried uncle and I took over. After 30 minutes, it was ready. Soft serve, but very good. We stuck it in the freezer and it was just like regular vanilla.
I had not thought of pawn shops for the ice cream maker...hmmmm...

It's not RotK-related, but how about "Many Meetings"? That would be appropriate for Entmoot, anyway.
How about a graphic, any ideas? I'm going to start looking through my collection and see if I get any ideas.

That is one of the things we realized about the new fridge. Even though we took measurements and thought it would be about the same as our old one, the new one sticks out a good 3 inches further into the kitchen's open space.
With all these mouths to feed, I don't ever think food will last long enough to get lost or create new life forms. LOL! Remember, there be Dwarves about!

There was some discussion of the name that the new row should be given. Battle Gardens was thought of, of Better Smials. But after a while in sensible hobbit-fashion it was just called New Row. It was a purely Bywater joke to refer to it as Sharkey's End.
