The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hi WN... the "Brother Cadfael" mysteries are by Ellis Peters, there's about twenty of them. I like Agatha Christie best but Ellis Peters is a close second.
On my way to church now. See you guys later!

Good morning!
I am up got ponies fed, but I don't think I am staying ~up~
To: JenB
Ah good morning Jen who is also up!
To: JenB
See ya Jen. I believe I'll look that guy up on ebay and see if I can snag one of his books. See what it's like. I really like historical fiction mixed in with my read.
:-) And when I get done with it I can put it into a package for my son-in-law!

Good morning. I am up and about. Doing not much of anything.
Haven't fed Smeagol yet though. She misses Myranda. I am not attentive enough.

She is wanting her egg and a rub and a pat then! Gidget would like something too.... not sure what. she's chortling at me.
To: HairOfTheDog
Gidget is probably getting hers before Smeagol is getting hers. Smeagol might have to end up waiting till after church or tomorrow for an egg. Dog food will be available when I get out to go to church.

The super pathetic Gidget putting on a very sad disply chairside...

I put the TV on Animal Planet, K 9to5.... she likes this show and is satisfied. Perhaps that is what she wanted.

I put Smeagol outside early this morning. I am not dressed yet therefore am not going out till ready for church. She can have food then. The poor thing isn't going to starve, it's not like she's walked over the Dagorlad and not had fishes for days and days! LOL
The egg that requires cooking will come when I am more ready for the day --- or another day when I am more ready. She is getting more of them though, with Myranda gone. Yesterday afternoon she was very very happy because I cleaned out the fridge.

She will survive until after church, indeed. But good thing she can't dial the phone... This is a reportable offense, I am sure!

Alan Rickman: Dr. Lazarus, Professor Snape
Good morning! Leaving for church soon. Luke is finishing second breakfast (okay, it's his first, but he said "I want more breakfast")

Good morning!

This is a reportable offense, I am sure! Speaking of reportable offenses...last night Sam walked right into the office here and started peeing. Never asked to go out, never indicated he had a need. The antibiotic he's on makes him have to pee more frequently. But that was bizarre.
I caught him "midstream" so to speak and took him out and he peed for another five minutes.
Reckon that was a behavioral protest or did we just miss his signs? Wife was right by the back door. Do I need to call the pet shrink?

BTW, lest there be any misunderstanding that was "Sam the Dog" that started peeing in our office. Not any other of our reputable Sams.
Although with enough Irish Car Bombs...

To: Ramius; Wneighbor; HairOfTheDog; ecurbh
Hmmmm....Arriving in the Stormhands household this week:
