Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

When we got in from the creek just now we found them all snuggled in their coop, all in one nest box. We just had to shut the door.

After I did that coop painting, Steve started taking my idea to paint an F16 on the shop more seriously...taking me more seriously, I should say...he thinks any minute I could do it!

In MY yard it does! LOL My shop is 25' by 25'...it could be a pretty big F16! LOL

Hullo to anyone who is left after the eventful day you all had in the "Back Room" and all. Wow! It Got really interesting there and here after I had left for the dentist. So, do we have new " ping friends" from that round? If so, welcome, hope you find some rest and peace for your weary souls. (sounds like an advertisement for a funeral home)

Kinda a busy day...getting my yearly lecture from the dentist about not taking care of myself. I told him I haven't had the cash to. I think they must think all we have to do is sit around and look after our teeth. I guess that's their world.

Hope all are well and having good Fridays with movies, books, family, and friends.

J2, sorry things are not right with your eye just yet. Still praying and hoping all will be well soon.

Thanks for the kind comment, Hair, appreciate it. Also appreciate your attempts to answer each one who posts here to make them feel "at home", to care about what's important in their lives. I think those who kick up such a fuss over this sight are alot of times really wanting what's here and just don't know it. Anyway, thanks for your heart.

Got a busy one today. Will be taking the dogs out for their Sat. morning romp in the park here in a minute or two. Am going to try to make a few more neckerchiefs for them, as well. Later in the day, after some serious house cleaning, we're gonna go see Pirates.... I'm all a'twitter. Something about men with long, flowing locks... There's also some discussion about seeing T3 again. Big'ol's a big ol' Aaaaaahnold fan and our DVD cabinet is full of Aaaaahnold movies. :)

I just finished writing a nasty gram for the pool (okay I was nice). But this woman called the other day and wanted her membership back because "I joined for my daughter and she told me she really didn't want to join. Her friend wanted her to and she just wasn't strong enough to say no."

I am not making this up. And I really didn't say that I thought next year they'd be better off spending their money on therapy.

But she ain't gettin' a refund.
