Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I am off - need office supplies and have to go to the DVD store and pick up the movie..... back in awhile!
To: HairOfTheDog
What are we gonna pawn to bail him out? Why should we need to pawn something if he has a travel budget?

Hullo out there. Hope everyone is OK. Been kinda a rough last two days here...car repairs, and just not feeling so very good. We had rain the last two days, which was nice, but I just went into the kitchen and found my dishes in one of the cabinets sitting in water. So I guess the roof is leaking...great. Sorta caught up with the Hobbits here...so how's everyone?
To: mstar
Anyone out there? Oh well...ding dong, the thread is dead, long live the thread!
To: mstar
Hey mstar, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Seems it has been a slow day in the Hole today. The roof leaking is awful, we just had to patch ours to the tune of $200. I hate spending money I don't have LOL! I hope your leak is cheaper to fix.
To: trini
Hey back trini, it does seem slow. I noticed one of the other Hobbits, ecubh, wasn't feeling too well either. Hope he is better.
I hope the roof will be OK too. We have had alot of tree branches hit our roof in several past storms (alot of trees around and some don't look so healthy) I hope it wasn't that. My husband is home this week, thank God, so I left it like I found it until he gets back from the office. I tell you, if it's not one thing, it's another.
To: Wneighbor
the same place you rent the movie, will rent the equipment with which to view it.They rent TVs too? Or do you mean those little portable DVD viewers?

Oh that makes me tense.... I hope you don't do anything rash!I didn't. They only had one, and it was a complete piece of...well, you know. It was cheap, but was old and very slow - PentiumII 333, 128MB RAM, CD-ROM, 6GB hard drive. Plus the OS was all messed up so they couldn't even boot it so that I could poke around in it a bit. It would take a complete reformat and reinstall. I'd rather put the money I can't even afford to spend anyway into something more worthwhile than that. I'll keep looking into the other sources.
Digital camera and travel budget come first!

Hullo! I absolutely loved the books and movies. I am still bitter about Faramir's movie personna because he was a great character in the books. :-( Now where is that pipeweed?
To: mstar
Hope he is better. Thanks, I appreciate that. I'm OK physically, just kind of in an ennui phase right now.

So, since y'all are a couple thousand posts ahead, are y'all just gonna let TNS implode? Or are you moving out ahead of time?

Later folks. On my way to Blockbuster.
To: Overtaxed
My mother raised me better than to frequent neighborhoods that would have a pawnshop.Going once does not 'frequenting' make!
Many moons ago, my brother took me into a pawn shop in a not so nice area of my hometown, and I got a 12 string guitar at a pawn shop for my high school graduation present! It's still around, though I haven't played it in years. I'd have to build up slowly cause the fingers you use to create chords REALLY HURT after a couple of days when you haven't played for a while.
