Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

The bill has now gone through the house but the DIMwits in the State Senate are now talking about a walkout this week. again, to prevent a quorum. ARGH! I would just put some snipers on surrounding rooftops. They would be there to enforce the "so help me God" part of the oath those RATS took.

...just kidding...
I'm going to be hitting the road here pretty quick. Going to make an early night of it. Have an early meeting tomorrow.

Have a safe trip home. The cat is not a problem for me. Possum is so greasy though.

Yah. That's why I don't turn around and pick up the possums. They don't cook up so well.
Have a good evening. Bailing out more or less now...

riiiiiight. OK - they had blended together for meCarl Reiner did a spoof of Basic Instinct and Fatal Attraction called Fatal Instinct It starred Armand Assante and Sean Young. I've seen parts of it and they were pretty funny.
Never saw the Sharon Stone flick, but Glenn Close was very good as the crazed woman in Fatal Attraction. Yeah, the pot cooking on the stove was quite disconcerting!

Woo Hoo! I hope to get the Flat Frodo Massachusetts photos up on the site this week. I wasn't sure how many pictures I could post, but then I saw OT's story, and she had 23 pictures! That's great! I just need to compose the story line to go with them now!
So I just post it here as I would any other pictures, just in one LONG post, huh? Gak, I feel sorry for 2J, Ruthy, and those other folks with dial-ups!

Hi again. If you're still here. Had to check back in to see if there's company.
I broke down and started trying to wade into cleaning Myranda's room. As expected I found stuff I didna wanna find.
Sheesh.

They will load as quickly as they would when they visit the page to read it. As a tip, if you add the height and width measurements to the html for them (and at york they will all be the same unless you crop them smaller - look in the properties when you copy them) the thread will load faster because the thread won't "wait" to load the thread until the whole picture comes in, it will know how big it is, make room, and keep going, so they say.... I do it for big pictures sometimes. do you know how to do that?
< img src="http:\\url" height=294 width=420 > (or vice-verse if you turned the camera upright)

Hmmm, I'm so used to broadband I tend to forget about those with dial-up. I wonder if there is a better way to post the reports. Smaller images in linked to the large version in a popup window, perhaps. I'll have to consider it.
