Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Heck, I would've told the child "stand next to me or the wolf will eat you." A healthy respect for wildlife is not a bad thing.

Wolf Haven is a cool place, even if they are raising wolves for release who will likely have to be killed by farmers, not unlike their ancestors.

They have howl-ins where they get all the wolves talking.

We got the special expensive diet food since he needs to lose weight also. Doc didn't mention plain white rice.

Actually Hair, he hasn't eaten much in the non-food item area since he was a puppy. He chewed up Barney, Baby-Bop (we gave them both to him), the corners of several rugs and several of Jrs' Federation Starships. Interestingly, he only chewed one of Luke's toys. The rest are all over the floor, wherever Luke leaves them, but Sam doesn't touch them.

If there is a "villain" involved in the disappearance of my security card and parking pass, my money is on Luke.

I saw that thread about the cougar. I had to fight the temptation to jump down Focault's throat. A lion that has already made to call to move on you and let itself be seen is NOT a trivial problem. His "oh, don't worry, lions don't attack people" line was sooo city-dweller.

The biking guy was only lucky that he saw the cat first. That's pretty rare. Had the cat been a little hungrier, the biker dude never would have seen him coming.

It is about 5 miles from here, they have the howl-ins on summer nights.... I will find out! ;~D

The white rice and cottage cheese is for bland. The dogs absolutely love it though...go figure. The anti-biotics do all the heavy lifting. They always get over it. And never learn from it.

Yeah - I saw that comment..... silly. A lion that has let himself be seen is a threat. Course so is the one that hasn't let himself be seen, but we never know to tell stories of that one!
