Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'm so glad you were with those guys when you opened the box! What a thrill for you AND them!

It was so weird. They know how patriotic I am. I was the one who insisted on a flag in my classroom. And I have a few nice patriotic red, white and blue outfits that I wear and they always tell me they like those. (and no, they aren't all like the one with the short skirt showing my legs.) But, for them to be so gracious themselves about US doing this was just nearly too much. I mean, they shared what receiving things from home meant to them. And it was so incredible!

So is yours June 7 over Task force Headquarters also? - Are they all Task force headquarters so far?

Yes...my mom has my certificate so I can't check for sure, but I'm pretty sure.

Thanks for your kind words, but really...I'm so grateful to all of the contributors for their gifts toward the efforts and for their trust in me.

It really has been very meaningful to me. I'll look at that flag for the rest of my days and never get over the honor of being part of it.

I'm disappointed that I didn't think of putting a webpage on this project together until it was a bit too late to go back and find everything. But maybe we can do a page telling the background of the project, about this response from the soldiers, and some of our pictures.

Hello! Got out of work early! Now, to run a few errands...

Can anyone recommend a nice, cheap digital camera to me? I've been wanting one and I think I'll get it.

Doesn't feel like Tuesday. Dunno what it does feel like, but not Tuesday. I had to get up in the middle of the night to write down a story idea, it's been ages since that happened.

I still have every email to and from the chaplain, including all the pictures. I sent them to everyone though, so you should have them too, if you saved them.

I think I saved all of them, but I am looking for the posts, because those pictures would already be loaded to york and all I have to do is copy the codes.... Your FRMail has a lot of them.... enough to get the gist of what happened. I am gonna copy all of it to one place, you can edit then as you like.
