The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

You drink all the coffee before you post? Of course I do! That way I don't have to share. :)
To: ecurbh
I hope I didn't befuddle you too much... I pretty much live in a state of befuddlement. But thanks. I'll give that a try.

she's not weird .. just normalcy-challenged .. hee hee Well...one night of pacing around the house shining a flashlight on the ceiling looking for branch-breakthrough will cure her of that.

Hi Everybody!
To: HairOfTheDog
Well, they do have a natural tendency to run off when you try to pick them up. Benny Hen is the best about not doing it, will stand "nervously" still when you reach for her. But the rest just by nature try to get away. But once you pick them up and start petting them, they will chirp and whistle happily. And will take a little snack out of your hand if you happen to have a little scratch or food.

Well...one night of pacing around the house shining a flashlight on the ceiling looking for branch-breakthrough will cure her of that. Well, my nights with tornados consist of staying in bed and listening to the noise. I usually make a cursory trip around the house to check status.... and then make myself comfy. Then, when it's all over - another trip around the house.

Yeah I saw that. I usually don't stick sround for hurricanes. Of course when Andrew hit here I was still living in Trinidad *whew*. I babysat my niece that summer though, until they had power and water back. Still everytime one comes close, I pack up just in case I have to leave; drives my husband crazy Heh!
To: Wneighbor
I don't know how you could be so calm about that stuff. I am convinced that I would die of cardiac arrest before the thing even hit. LOL!
To: HairOfTheDog
Good morning! Time to get ready for my meeting. Be back later.
To: proud_2_B_texasgal
You laugh! She's our best chicken! Of the four, she's the tamest and will come to you and roost on your lap, or shoulder or even your head if you let her! No kidding, it's the only way I can tell her apart from the other buff Orpington! They are identical in appearance.
