Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I looked again when I saw your note, but didn't see any writing near the grommets on mine. I had noticed, immediately upon opening the box, that the flag was dusty. When I read the certificate, I understood.

HI Corin, and all my friends here at the Hobbit Hole! Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts! things are pretty mild here in the Midgewater Marsh Section. Getting short bursts of rain and wind now at 8:45. I am more worried about tornados than hurricanes at the moment. But all is well!

Yes, it is...very special. I could feel the dust as soon as I pulled it out too, kinda like a dusty potatoe.
Maybe they didn't write the date on each one. It was very finely written, right near the top grommet.

They've been in Iowa for SIX WEEKS!!Have they been visiting family? Where in FL are you going on vacation? SSQ's family gets together every year on Perdido Key. It is a LOVELY area just South and West of Pensacola. We're not going this year, cause we're going out to MT, and do Yellowstone this year.

Yep! They go to their grandma's every summer for swim lessons, clown parties, and fun! Small town USA up there, they LOVE it!

right where the storm is coming in. We were awakened at 2am to evacuate. See you guys when I get back in. Say a little prayer that my house is still here. It shouldn't bee too bad, just might get some flooding. Prayers for you and all in the path of the storm. I look around here and simply cannot imagine how scary it is to evacuate... Hope you can check in soon, that you stay safe, as well as your things. Wow...
