Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

This is one of "those" people that send their complaints to the CEO first, and then the CEO forwards the email, instead of contacting the IT dept with some problem that he has apparently been having for the "last two weeks". It's the first we've heard of it.
I swear... as soon as I come up with a way to send an electric shock to a user via email, I'm gonna have a field day. This networking shit would be really fun if it weren't for all these GD illiterate Ph.D. users. :-)

I'm the one with 350 bottles of water during Y2K and I'm currently sitting in a plastic and duct taped room... Funny you should mention that. It was the Y2K posting madness that finally pushed me over the edge and made me stop lurking after a few years and actually register so that I could post my predictions (on 12/30/99) that there was NOTHING about Y2K that would do anyone any harm.
Y2K was a scam, pulled by a handfull of consultants that convinced the whole world that lots and lots of consulting time was just the thing to fix a problem that didn't really exist. God knows... it cost my oompany a fortune.

I agree.... and I am glad you have ordered the posters! I am a big fan of doing things you might not ordinarily do!
I am back and very strung out with "Claudette", which is now a hurricane and the weather forcast is NOW saying it could hit with a good punch here in Houston.
So if I start ramblling, please forgive me. "The Weather Channel" can do that to you.
I think what I said in the above referred quote may have come out wrong...I was making fun of myself for, at times, getting into a "religious, conservative snob" frame of mind. Hope I didn't offend.

Interesting that this is not being covered by the national news! - I am watching MSNBC and have been all evening.... They are on regular talking head shows.

NBC is focusing on making Bush look bad for Iraq. Also as the day went on this was just a trophical storm. It has just gone into a hurricane and hurricanes are unpredicatable. Two of the worst I remember, Alicia and Allison were upon us "suddenly".
Please go on to bed. I am just rather strung out and like I said rambling.
