The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Morning. It's a bit gray out today here too. Got a bunch of stuff to do this morning before work. Trying to get some more stuff put away so the place looks OK to have company. And starting to load some mp3s back onto the hard drive. But first...breakfast!
To: SuziQ

They are sold at the chicken meat section of Walmart, in a little tub. Tyson (hiss hiss) sells them.
I make the BEST fried chicken livers. Like nothing you can buy in a store deli or KFC. Livers have to be fried, then eaten hot. Once they get cold, they aren't as good and they don't warm back up well.
I had made a half dozen and only ate four (they are big and I'm the only person in my family that eats them). I gave the other two to my neighbor hot out of the fat and she couldn't believe her luck.

I really need to trim your mint and the oregano and do something about those trees. So, do you have oregano in the ground that comes back year after year? without freezing? I haven't ever had it overwinter unless it we didn't get a bad freeze.
