Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

WN: Both the NC-Mo moots went off without a hitch, it was nice to meet another HHD'er.
I believe she enjoyed her time in Kansas, even though we got her on right side of the state line for both mini-moots (that's the MO side) lol.

SC: I reckon they are, but I'm about ready to sign off.
Got cleared to give blood again, so I'm heading out tomorrow am to meet with amateur draculas at the blood bank. Hope they still have some 4th of july donor t-shirts left.
To: Sam Cree
Yep, in chat.

I got booted out of chat! It shut my whole browser down.
I think I'll go take a hot soak and watch some TV in bed. Night all!

You stayin through the weekend? - Is g'nad involved on the weekend did I hear? No...just got back to "The House" where abides my own little kitty.
I think g'nad and OB are going to some archery/bow type thing this weekend.
To: Overtaxed
Did the kitty welcome you back or is she in a snit?
To: HairOfTheDog
She's purring.
To: Overtaxed
Well, that is a good sign indeed!
My dad's kitty ignored him for a week after he went away....
To: HairOfTheDog
Good night All.

Thanks for the info...we have one that isn't going to make it though. It keeps flipping over on it's back and can't seem to right itself. It's heartbreaking and our son is pretty upset because we have told him that it will probably not live. I will try and help him understand when it happens and pray that God gives me words of wisdom that bring hope to my son and not fear or sadness. The other nine look great and I am thinking of getting a couple of chicks on Monday to go along with them. We have some paper that is shredded up in the bottom now. Thanks again,
mrsnad

Saw "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" tonight, and enjoyed it a lot. Lots of action, minimal plot, but there's nothing wrong with that sometimes. I thought they carried off the "steampunk" and "fictional characters made real" motifs very well!

Hey Bear, just saw "League" myself. I loved it because I knew almost all the stories the characters were from. On the other hand some things were done just wrong. The Nautilus, though, was almost worth the price of the movie itself. Perfect!
Also I loved the literary jokes. My friend did not get any of them because she is not well read.

Good evening!
Rose really liked the Nautilus too. I'm curious about what things you didn't like about it!

Heh, my mom sent Jr. money to take me out for Father's Day. He said he put it on a shelf in his room. We looked and looked. Last week, wife found it in the dryer...

I have learned that people can have flame wars about *anything*. No they can't.
