Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

You're a fisherman, not a pirate it seems. Hmm... Good point. I may have to review my methods.
To: HairOfTheDog
Aw, I'm sorry, Miss Hair. Darn cat.

I dunno Ramius. I like old classic cars. But, then I'm an old chick.

I like old classic cars. But, then I'm an old chick. hehehe... and I'm an old dude. In a way, that's what I like about the 05. It's a 68 Shelby in a new red dress. ...and you don't have to turn a wrench on it every time you want to take it out.
Sure, lots of people love to turn wrenches on cars, but I'm not one of them. I have enough hobbies. :-)
To: Ramius
If we have to talk about NEW vehicles here's what I want. Exactly, precisely this model.

If you say so. That car just didn't do it for me. But, it will be good for you. And Ramius! You got to CHASE the wenches if ya wanna be a pirate!!
Okay, actually, here is the bike that I will probably get if I get a new bike. Because I don't like the saddlebags on the model I posted and I have a set now that I do love, I already have a windsheild that will fit and this model is a couple of grand less expensive. But, if money were no object I'd buy the first one and replace the bags.

Something about this strikes me as funny....
Here is this story about some sex offender who we might be importing from California, and in the right hand column is this poor guy who got "Personal Ad of the Day" on the front page.... I just can't imagine he is gonna get a lot of calls....

did you ever date a wench that had a Chevelle? Hmmmm...checking memory files...rummage, rummage, rummage....
Nova, Skylark, Grand Am, Ranger, Corolla, Escort....
No Chevelle yet. I'll keep checking.
To: Wneighbor
Hmmm... very nice.

Now there's a job. My son and husband are going there on the 19th for a family-reunion type stay.

Looks like rain. Hope there's a slicker in the saddle bag.

How do I make my own little desktop icons for things if I wanted?
To: RMDupree
I saw this cool looking recipe in this month's Family Circle magazine for beer roasted chicken. Sorry I missed breakfast; just got on to FR.
Is that recipe where you stick a full can of bee up the chicken's butt and bake it standing up?
To: SuziQ; All
That's the one! I never could find it online though. At least on the Family Circle website.
My boss is on the phone with his boss right now. *fingers crossed* This could be it!!!!!

We decided to go see "Pirates" this afternoon with the kids from the teen homeschool group. SSQ said he and I will go out to see a different movie another time. Gotta run so we can get some snacks before the movie!
Later!
To: SuziQ
Where do you buy canned bee?
