Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

All these "anti authority" entertainment guys can't wait to fall into the arms of governments based on socialism, makes you wonder what they are using for brains.

(since Corin isn't around to terrorize any more). Don't think I didn't hear that.
To: Corin Stormhands
Morning, Corin!

Ask them what the causation mechanism is. How, exactly, does cholesterol cause heart disease? If they can answer, there's a nobel prize in it for them because it hasn't been established. I doubt it will. Co-occurance is so easily confused with causation in the medical community. And while most doctors are fine, intelligent individuals, they fall into that trap too easily.

Nutrition threads and I are like religion threads and Corin- an irresistable allure. SSSSSSHHHHHHH! Don't tell 'em I'm back over there.
Okay, so I'm not really gonna discuss it, but can I just rant a second? My current argument over there is not really a theological one beyond the fact that "they" want me to believe that what an atheist says about my theology is relevant.
No offense intended to any atheist or agnostic who may reside or lurk here. But I think we can agree that we disagree in Chapter One. And until we come to an agreement there, it's kinda pointless to discuss the rest of the book.
But according to "them," because an atheist says my theology is wrong, theirs is right...sigh...
And that's ALL I'm gonna say 'bout that (well, here at least).

Mornin' Sam. Mornin' All.
I just realized I was s'posed to be at a meeting across town...oops. It's okay, 'cause it was kind of a sales meeting, nothing official. But, it just ain't my week to get places I'm s'posed to be.
To: Corin Stormhands
Seems logical to me.
To: RMDupree; g'nad
Thanks fer breakfast Ruthy. You shouldn't have.
At least let g'nad get the dishes...

"But according to "them," because an atheist says my theology is wrong, theirs is right...sigh" Yeah, that's just like the guy on another thread who says that because Marx believed in evolution, then evolution must be wrong.

And that's ALL I'm gonna say 'bout that (well, here at least). And let me just add that saturated animal fats are not bad and most doctors and nutritionists are mind-numbed robots! Arrrgh!
Harumph Harumph.
To: Lil'freeper; Sam Cree; HairOfTheDog
mmmmm....saturated animal fats....
So is the Hobbit Hole the last refuge of sanity on FR?
To: Corin Stormhands
At least let g'nad get the dishes... How generous of you! *wink*

It must be. I have to confess, that I'm terribly, terribly impatient with folks who disagree with my < slight sarcasm > obviously correct opinions < /sarcasm >. It is unChristian and mean-spirited, I know. Who knew I'd be a hyperopinionated curmudgeon before age 30?
To: Lil'freeper
"And while most doctors are fine, intelligent individuals" Yeah, that describes my friends. But I sure wouldn't let them tell me what to eat, which goes a long way to ensuring one's health.

You are under 30?
Yes, it is mean spirited and un Christian to disagree with your opinions ;-)
