Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Man - That's a rough draw in a muse..... Does one not get to choose their muse?

I did have a hairdresser once who yanked my hair and cursed at me in Korean if I cheated on her with a different hairdresser. She would yank and say "Where did you get this rousy haircut!!!!"

I have a - well, an Muse-defense person as well, almost an anti-muse, who is quite as inspiring but much less irritating... the Muse is really just there to make me work. My 'other' is the actual inspiration.

Heh, at least I don't have a bunch of psychotic muses running around like some of my friends.

My muse is but a wretched thing
Sits choosing what today will sing
Or likely naught will fill my voice
And snickers if I dare a choice

Or takes my scariest of screams
Invites them to my sweetest dreams
Then lays me down to quiet rooms
Where natant nothing then resumes.

Speak up! Speak out!
I want to shout
Don't lie there with your grim and tout

Sadistica tends to do things like give me writer's block for weeks at a time, then when I do want to write, I have no time. My writer's block is never a lack of ideas, it's a sense of, "ugh, I do not want to write anything today".

Honestly I like being busy. I'm taking it easy this summer, no classes, just work and writing and stuff. Besides... it's better to be busy than to be bored. And there aren't enough hours to do everything I want but I do try!

Well, I'm not even considering it a problem this week. In the grand scheme of things this is not a big deal. It will get fixed either when I find a person willing to help me ---- or, when I get some money. (entmoot has become a higher priority for me than plumbing and a/c)

I am in Wichita Falls. Home is in Mosheim.... just 6 miles from W's ranch. Mosheim is about 35 miles NW of Waco. But, in reality, I live and work in Wichita Falls and only dream of moving home.
