The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

We're very indiscriminate. Remember, I'm an elf. There's bound to be some satisfaction for you two in going after some of my family.

Well, movies like that are kind of depressing IMO. I might like them if they weren't depressing.

They wouldn't be depressing if we had lives that were as interesting! ;~D

Hi!
Sorry you had such a hard time with the family :(
Glad you're back!
To: HairOfTheDog
They wouldn't be depressing if we had lives that were as interesting! ;~D If we had lives that were that interesting then the movies might not be depressing. But, then, if we had lives that interesting, we might have something to do besides watch movies!

I'm glad I'm back too. Much more comfortable here than with family members.
I was thinking, that now, since my Grama's gone and both kids are going to be living in Germany ---- that I am a hermit except for work and the Hobbit Hole. Not a bad deal!

Ack! I added another nest box to the coop and right after I painted it, Roy ran in, then Josh ran in and pinned Roy right up against the paint! He was solid grey on one side!
Ever bathed a chicken? I have! Got most of the paint off and Roy actually was very quiet and either 1) was resigned to her fate or 2) enjoyed it. I think she enjoyed it! She didn't shake or fight and it was a warm nice bath!

Ooh, it's so nice being back at FR around conservatives! I couldn't talk politics or even think about them all weekend because my friend is left of center. She's also agnostic. Oddly enough she's closer to me than all but two or three other people, even though we don't really have that much in common.
I got to act fourteen all weekend, giggling until three in the morning and talking about everything... actually, everything except boys and clothes, so I guess we weren't very typical fourteens after all..
But it's great to be back.

"Exhausting! I'm in Kansas City, now. Just got back a while ago from a BBQ dinner with OB and LSAggie. Catching up, relaxing and FReeping!" That sounds like so much fun, OT. Seeing other freepers! How was the food?

You want g'nad and I should pay her a visit? I bet it'd be an experience she'd never ferget...
To: Wneighbor
I know! - It is the watching them alone that is depressing, especially when the movie has a gushingly happy ending! ;~D
Watch the WYWS movie, I will hand you a tissue when necessary.

It's okay that they are all related to me right? yeah sure... we'll act like we don't know yuh... yuh might get caught in the ECR though... (effective casualty radius)
To: HairOfTheDog
I didn't talk about boys when I was fourteen, either. I was too busy reading then.
Actually we did talk about guys but they were all fictional. What we have in common is books - particularly the Harry Potter books, which is how we met - but also Horatio Hornblower, certain Heinlein novels, Lord of the Rings, Connie Willis novels...
I'm still high from that. We knew each other for three and a half years before we got to meet!
